Today we got a nice driver 993 cabriolet to feature. I’d like to cover a wide variety of vehicles so there is something for everyone to pick from. If there is something you’d like to see feel free to drop a comment below or send me an email through the contact page.
With that being said, this appears to be a great entry level Porsche 993 for those that have been wanting one but can’t afford the high price tag that they’re currently fetching.
This 1996 Porsche 911 (993) cabriolet is black with tan leather interior. The seller says that the paint is good, but not perfect. There is some road rash on the front bumper, hood, and a small scratch on the rocker panel. The top is in good condition. Water beads down on it and there aren’t any holes or wear spots.
Overall the interior looks pretty decent from the pictures. The driver seat and shift knob looks to have quite a bit of wear, but that is expected with a 113k mile vehicle. I didn’t see any rips or tears anywhere.
The seller is the second owner of this 1996 Porsche 993. Originally purchasing it in 2005 with only 10k miles of it. Most of the service records will be provided to the buyer and all of the work has been done at European Performance Imports in Natick, MA.
Valve guides where done at around 40k miles and had new Michelin Pilots put on a month ago. The ad does not list anymore service details that have been done in the past or recently. There is a mention of the check engine light turning on every now and then. Seller says that they have had it checked multiple times and there doesn’t seem to be an issue. If you’re interested in this vehicle I would definitely recommend a pre-purchase inspection to take a look into it just to be safe.
At the time of this posting Craigslist says it has been listed for 2 months time. The seller is currently asking $38,000 and is welcome to reasonable offers, but also says that they are fairly firm on price.
